Benefits

Introduction

Taylor University seeks to hire staff and faculty who are diverse in age, life stage, and family composition. Knowing no two employees’ circumstances are alike, Taylor provides a compensation package respective of one’s personal time, health needs, future planning, and family status.

We understand that new employees often have questions about how our paid benefits work and therefore we have provided the following shortened summary. Many benefits are governed by required plan documents and those documents have final authority over our plans.

Medical and Leave Benefits

Taylor University has an incredibly strong medical plan that has lower than average premiums, deductibles and co-pays for the employee and their family. A great network and generous coverage highlights this plan. You can learn more about Taylor University's Medical and Leave benefits here.

Retirement Benefits

The retirement program at Taylor University is very strong. After a two year wait (which can be waived for qualifying previous years of service in higher education) a Taylor University employee receives a 6% contribution to the plan—with no required match by the employee!

Moving Expenses

Taylor University will pay 100% of approved moving expenses of new or transfer full-time faculty and salaried exempt positions from pre-approved vendors. Starting in 2018, IRS tax law made these reimbursed moving expenses taxable income and they will be reported as such on the employees pay once the expenses have been finalized. View the policy for a full description.
